How To Apply

The application process for Round Two of the Talent Development (TD) Programme is now closed. The deadline for submitting Stage One Applications closed on Monday 24 March 2014, 5pm.

Following this deadline a short-list of applicants have been selected to develop their Professional Development Projects through Stage Two Applications, which will go before an independent selection panel on Wednesday 30 April 2014. The selection panel consists of Grace Davies, Regional Development Coordinator for Visual Arts South West, Mark Segal who is currently developing theartistsagency to support individual artists and Daniel Crow, Director of a space arts. The panel will assess all Stage Two Applications to select the successful recipients who will receive a Talent Development bursary.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for a Talent Development bursary you must have met the following criteria:

  • Be an artist (or group) with an active practice in the visual arts.
  • Meet one of the strand definitions:
    – Early CareerAn artist (or group) who has initiated a professional creative career within the last three years.
    – Mid CareerAn artist (or group) who has sustained a professional creative career for more than three years
  • Be able to commute to Southampton for project meetings.
  • Be able to complete your project within the maximum timeframe of 6- months (May-November 2014).
  • Be able to justify why this project is important to you and how this opportunity will further your creative career.
